Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner was the most remarkable role he played before his untimely sad demise in 2013. Coming to the series as an undercover police officer tasked with bringing the protagonist Dominic down, O’Conner has changed his allies and started helping Dom to become one of the most important characters in the series.
O’Conner’s prominence in the franchise is just next to Dominic played by Vin Diesel. He helps Dom evade the police twice, clearing the police record and elevating Dom’s trust and the racer group later.
In his short career, Walker has appeared in a few successful movies including, the 2001 film Joy Ride and Takers which was released in 2010.
Mark Wahlberg and Walker’s co-star Jordana Brewster had a quiet relationship around the 2000s. It appears both the stars did not want high buzz following them. Hence, they have maintained their public appearances.
“We just know where to go, especially in L.A. If you want to get attention, you know where to go. And if you don’t, you go to more subdued places,” she once told Movieline.
Talking about the relationship, she said, “I always liked people who were older than me,” adding, “I just can’t imagine dating a 20-year-old boy.”
However, their incognito relationship lasted for just two years and quietly ended their relationship around 2001.
Following their break-up, The Lone Survivor actor told Vanity Fair that they had very different backgrounds, “There’s nothing wrong with being privileged, but it reminds me of how hard I’ve had to work to get where I have,” Wahlberg said. “I have a hard time hearing about living on Fifth Ave. and having housekeepers and going to Yale.”
Brewster was a Yale graduate with a fairly upper-class lifestyle and upbringing while Wahlberg had a tough journey to reach his goal coming from a rougher origin.
While Wahlberg and Brewster were dating, she landed a role in the Fast and Furious franchise alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. As per the demand of the script, Walker and Brewster had an intimate scene to shoot but Walker was uncomfortable learning that Wahlberg might be on the set.
“I had to do a love scene with Jordana [and] she was dating Mark Wahlberg at the time,” he told TV Guide Online.
Later, the-43-year-old, Panamanian-American actress also revealed having a secret crush on Walker as well.
“I had a crush on him more after like… from 4 to 7 had a crush on him. “I never got to tell him that but I think on many levels he knew,” she once told E-News.
Following Walker’s untimely demise, the magic of the onscreen pair came to an end even before Furious 7. In the movie, the makers paid tribute to the actor with the song See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth.
