New Image Teases Vin Diesel’s Fast X Muscle Car Return
After being last seen in Fast & Furious in 2009, Vin Diesel teases the return of a famous Dominic Toretto muscle vehicle in the next film Fast X. The Fast & Furious series, which started off small in 2001, has now grown to include 9 popular films and a spin-off.

Despite receiving generally unfavourable reviews from reviewers when it was released last year, F9: The Fast Saga was a commercial success, grossing over $726 million globally. Soon after its release, it was revealed that Diesel and his team will make two further films, the first of which, Fast X, would be released in the spring of 2019.

Fast X has the most spectacular cast of the series thus yet, but nothing is known about its narrative. Fast X includes newcomers like Brie Larson, Jason Momoa, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, and Alan Ritchson in addition to returning performers like Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Sung Kang. Some of what is to come in Fast X has already been previewed in photos and videos taken behind-the-scenes, including hints at the movie’s automobiles, stunts, and new characters.

Vin Diesel just shared a photo of Dominic Toretto’s muscle car on Instagram. The vehicle resembles the one that his Fast & Furious character drove in 2009 and briefly in The Fast and the Furious in 2001. It seems to be a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, however most of the car is hidden, and Diesel hints that it has a very “unique narrative” attached to it. See Diesel’s post down below:

What Fast X’s Returning Muscle Car Could Mean for Dominic Toretto

The vehicle in Diesel’s Instagram image is most likely not the same one he used in The Fast and the Furious and Fast & Furious since it exploded at the thrilling conclusion of the latter film. However, the presence of the car does imply that Fast X could be returning to earlier themes from the series. It’s likely that the Chevelle’s presence is part of an effort to bring things full circle for Dom and the rest of his driving squad because the forthcoming movie is confirmed to be the final one.

It is unclear what peril Dom may encounter in Fast X after repeatedly rescuing the globe. The movies often refer to the past and the ways the characters’ experiences have brought them all closer together and made them a family, even if the series keeps becoming larger and more ludicrous with each new episode.

Whether or not the Chevelle will play a significant role in Dom’s adventure in Fast X is unknown, but Diesel’s hint that there may be more to the car than first seems hints that it may somehow tie the new film to earlier events.
