Vin Diesel’s Response to Michelle Rodriguez’s Casting in Dungeons & Dragons: Michelle Rodriguez Reveals

The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves cast and crew visited ComicBook.com’s official San Diego Comic-Con 2022 studio after the film’s trailer’s official debut to answer questions. While there, we questioned Fast & Furious co-star Michelle Rodriguez on Vin Diesel’s reaction to the news. As longtime fans of Dungeons & Dragons will recall, Diesel even wrote the introduction to the 2004 book Thirty Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons. So what did he respond when he learned that his on-screen friend will be appearing in the film?

“He isn’t a fan of Dungeons & Dragons. Dungeon master Vin Diesel, “Ródrigo informed us. “Sincerely, you don’t want to mess that up. Don’t mess that up ever. He plays everything down. He always acts like he’s so great, whatever. However, I am aware that he was (like) family, saying, “My sister is playing like she’s in D&D.” Like, I can tell he’s proud.”

Despite the fact that the cast for the movie was already known, the official panel at this year’s Comic-Con officially revealed everyone’s character names and classes, which include:

Chris Pine is Elgin, a Bard. Elgin notably wears a Harper pin in several scenes in the trailer, hinting that he might be part of the famed organization.

Michelle Rodriguez is Holga, a barbarian.

Rege-Jean Page is Xenk, a paladin.

Justice Smith is Simon, a sorcerer.

Sophia Lillis is Doric, a druid. Doric notably is a tiefling and even has a tail.

Hugh Grant is Forge, a rogue. An early report from the movie described him as Forge Fletcher.

According to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ official description: “A charming thief attempts a daring robbery with a group of unusual adventurers to steal a priceless artifact, but things go horribly wrong when they cross paths with the wrong people. In a funny and action-packed adventure, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves takes the expansive world and joyful spirit of the renowned roleplaying game to the big screen.”

On March 3, 2023, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be made available.
