While Vin Diesel and Paul Walker were the names on the theater marquees, let’s face it — the cars of The Fast anthe Furious really stole the spotlight from the human actors. Part of that, Vin Diesel told us, was by design. When he spoke to us at the time of the film’s release, he told us that director Rob Cohen’s vision of turning the cars into extensions of the human characters was one of the things that really intrigued him about making the film in the first place.
